Does having three cat. things. follow me around mean I have minions or pets.

A) So, this is Kamala eating lunch in the school yard or outside the D-Wheel club. She's occasionally throwing crumbs to three things that look like cats fused with snacks.

B) Kamala is waiting at SAI, presumably in a waiting area on a couch, with three Duel Spirits dancing in a circle near her, they look like cats fused with snacks. She's poking at her phone.::

::They crowd around Kuribon, with the one with a lollipop idly waving its lollipop at Kuribon, vaguely poking her. The other two seem vaguely in awe or are mindless.::

Well, they don't seem bothered by her presence, at least.

*She looks over at Kamala.*

Do they have anything they particularly like? Or have a favourite food?

Sweets. Mx. Shian and Professor Garrett keep suggesting cat food.

Also bouncing on me and Rani's stomachs to wake us up. Or laying on us.

*Ruka lets out a light laugh.*

They act very much act like cats, then.

How long have they been around you?

A few weeks.

And I got cards of them, too.

Oh! You do?

I guess that will at least tell us their names.

Could I see them for a moment?

Sure.

::Hands them over, they're a bunch of plush toy sweet themed cards with a UFO Catcher crane game with the crane being an astronaut cat. It seems to be focused on LIGHT Beasts and Synchro Summoning using a Link Monster as the Tuner.

The cup seems to be Cupsie or Cupsith or Cupussy. The cookie one is Cooky. Cookie + Kitty. The third one seems to be Lollipaw.

As a group they seem to be called Yummies or Yammies. Yum Yum Yammies. Yami + Yummy?::

*Ruka quickly takes notes about the cards; The theme, their names ect.
Once she is done, she hands them back to Kamala.*

I'll see if I can find anything else about them, but they might just be spirits from a part of the 12 Dimensions we don't know much about yet.
They probably found themselves here by accident, like most of the smaller spirits do, and were attracted to you.

I really hope this isn't because of this dumb "Queen's authority" thing...

Well, whatever the reason, they seem to like you and they're really cute, so make the most of them being around.
I think they'd make great pets.

Also, feel free to let them play with the other small spirits in the Spirit House here, if you'd like!

I deal with little spirits at Carcosa all the time.

::Beat.::

That's the creepy looking tower in the middle of the city.

Oh, yes! That's right! Guess they'll have a lot of playmates there.

*She smiles and crouches down in order to pet one of the snack kitties.*

::They purr and try to climb up your arm, no claws.::

Does that include them somehow causing me ascend to being a Dark Queen with a flaming halo or something.

*She allows them to attempt to climb up her arm, but does a double take at Kamala words.*

Why would they cause you to ascend to being a Dark Queen?

A lot of things seem to want me to be a dark god queen or something.

Oooh, right.
Well, hopefully all these cuties want is snacks and pets.

But if you have any concerns, even if you think they could, somehow, be causing something like that, then we can see if we can do anything to help.

::The one with the lollipop seems to be trying to climb up to your shoulder. You can hear the instrumental score of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home".::

Ruka allows the lollipop cat to keep climbing as she sits in a seat next to Kamala.*

I've had strange moments with it, mostly when I was younger, but you've definitely been through way more than I could ever imagine with it all.

I'm not sure if it's because our dragons are so different in personality, or if it's something else.

But, y'know, if you're ever struggling, or having a hard time with it, both you or your sister can come talk to me at anytime.

::Your mind. Maybe? Or maybe the cat itself??!::

I'm not sure my sister has a concept of struggling or suffering. But.

... I feel like I'm sitting in the shadow of me that's so much bigger and stranger. And I'm not sure if I like her.

*Ruka gives her a small, worried, frown as she places a reassuring hand on her shoulder.*

I'll admit that I don't know the full extent of the things you've been through, though, I know it's been a lot. More than anyone your age should go through.

Maybe one day you might have to face that version of you, but until then, maybe try to find things that can ground you, if you ever feel uneasy, or if you feel you're going in a direction that makes you uncomfortable.

And...

*Ruka quickly gets a notepad and a pen out of her bag and writes down a number on a piece of paper, before handing it to Kamala.*

I'm pretty sure I've met her. And I don't like her. She feels like she's me but better.

*Ruka stands up and carefully takes the lollipop cat off her shoulder, holding it in her arms for a moment, lightly playing with it.*

I don't know if this other version of you feels like she is better, but don't let her make you feel that way.
Maybe she's you, but different in some way...
...but she's definitely not a 'better' version of you.

::It wiggles, waving its lollipop going "!".::

She's faster. Smarter. Braver. More heroic. More free. More.

*Ruka shakes her head slowly, but gives her a kind smile.*

As far as I'm concerned, you're all those things or, at the very least, you have the potential to be them.

We're always changing, learning and growing as people, after all.

Don't sell yourself short. You're an amazing person, Kamala.

I just wish I even remotely believed it...
